The best hacks for spring cleaning

Today is the first day of spring, so that means it’s time for spring cleaning! LaKeisha Richard, the owner of The Enriched Way Cleaning Company, appeared on “Live In The D” to talk about some of her best spring cleaning hacks.

One product Richard makes is an all-purpose type of cleaner. In a bottle, she fills it up about 3/4′s of water, then adds about 1/4 of peroxide, which cuts grease and germs, a little but of castile soap, and essential oils.

Another cleaning product she makes is paste, where she adds baking soda, two tablespoons of peroxide, and a teaspoon of dawn dish soap. With this, you can scrub tubs, sinks, and even stainless steel.

When it comes to where to start with spring cleaning, Richard recommends to start from the top and work your way to the bottom. After you work your way to the bottom, she then suggests to work from left to right in a room, or as she says, “in slices.” Lastly, don’t forget the walls and baseboards.
