DETROIT – They have become a popular sweet treat enjoyed by kids and adults, but have you tried making cake pops?
It can be a little intimating. Leah Robinson, Owner and Pastry Chef of Sweet Peas Baked Goods, based in Detroit, holds cake pop making classes. She stopped by “Live in the D,” to show a simple technique she uses to make the sweet treats.
“It doesn’t have to be intimating,” Robinson told host Tati Amare and Guest Co-Host, CoCo. She gave some tips on how everyone, of any age, can create the dessert.
Robinson holds monthly baking classes. Her next cake pop class is Saturday, March, 23, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. inside the Carhartt Building at 5800 Cass Avenue in Detroit.
