Protecting your pets from ticks

It’s the season when you don’t want things sticking around

With spring here, and the warmer weather around the corner, pets will start to be outside more and more. That means it is time to start protecting your pets from ticks. Gillian Hanton with Michigan Humane appeared on “Live in The D” to talk about what you can do to protect your pets from ticks.

As the weather warms up, checking your animals for ticks, especially after they have been outside, is one of the best ways to protect them.

There are also preventatives out there like collars or chews, and you should visit your vet every once in a while to make sure you’re using the best product for your pet. If you do find a tick, make sure to visit your vet so they can help your pet.

Peggy Sue is a three legged cat who is looking for a relaxing home in a calm environment, possibly without dogs or other animals. The person who adopts Peggy Sue will have the standard adoption fees paid for by the Mike Morse Law Firm.
