In celebration of the anticipated NFL draft in Detroit, a local spirits company is celebrating with the Blue Roar, a bottled cocktail from the Detroit City Distillery. Ryan Klosowski and Jamie Wright with the distillery appeared on “Live in The D” to talk all about the new drink.
The Blue Roar is a tropical cocktail with flavors of blue raspberry, pineapple, lemon, a lot of citrus, and bergamot. “We wanted someting easy for the public to drink and so we wanted to do something like a blue raspberry lemonade,” Klosowski said.
You can get the opportunity to enjoy the Blue Roar at many different events. There will be special tours at the Whiskey Factory, Tuesday through Saturday, where you can buy it as well. Their cocktail lounge is also coming back for a special night only on Friday, April 26th. There will be three seatings, and with every ticket purchase you will get one Blue Roar. There will also be special retail hours at the Tasting Room Wednesday through Sunday, opening at 12 p.m., and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
