For this week’s Music Monday, a local artist with gold, platinum, and multi-platinum albums joined Tati Amare in studio. Randy Scott has worked with artists like Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond, and has a new album coming out. Scott appeared on “Live in The D” to share more.
Scott said his 8th solo album comes out this Friday and is called “Oasis”. It’s an album that Scott describes as “grown folks music.” He said, “It’s been a project for me that I’ve been working on really hard, so I’m excited for everybody to hear it.”
For Scott, he’s had the opportunity to work with many artists. “It’s been great. It’s been a blessing to be able to work with people who I look up to and admire,” he said. He also has a show coming up with Will Downing on June 12th at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre.
You can also catch him this weekend, where he will be performing an album release concert at the Silver Garden Event Center in Southfield this Friday.
