He’s made us laugh on stage, TV, and in movies, and now George Lopez is back for season 2 of “Lopez vs Lopez”. He and his daughter Mayan Lopez return with their real life father-daughter relationship playing out on the fictional show. George Lopez appeared on “Live in The D” to talk about the new season.
The new season partially sets a focus on George Lopez’s sobriety and how it affects his relationship with his daughter. It’s just one thing he says he’s enjoyed about about season 2 so far. “We’ve been fortunate enough to have some great guest stars here,” he said. Gabriel Iglesias, Lisa Rinna, and other people from reality TV will make an appearance this season.
Cheech Marrin and Tommy Chong are two other guest stars on the show that make an appearance tonight. For him, “Those guys were my idols growing up,” he said.
He has also had a huge impact on many people, including Mayan, who said she, “Admires him and keeps getting deeper respect for him everyday.” Those words were very inspiring to him, and he says “If this is a show we can do for a few more years, and be an example for other shows to come in the wake of this one, and to be able to do it with your daughter. That would be amazing”
