Head up north and swing into fun this summer

Michigan is home to a variety of golf resorts

This summer you could score a hole-in-one when you plan a trip to some of Michigan’s premiere golf destinations. Eight resorts have teamed up to create what they’re calling “America’s Summer Golf Capital.”

The unique partnership highlights a variety of options for golfers, including eight different resorts, 26 courses, and 432 holes of golf, explained Grand Traverse Resort’s Caroline Rizzo. Grand Traverse Resort is a 950-acre property with three golf courses, including Jack Nicklaus’ course called, “The Bear.” There is also a golf academy where you can learn how to play golf or sharpen your skills.

Another option for golfers is Crystal Mountain, which is located in Thompsonville. It includes two championship golf courses. Crystal Mountain also offers hiking and biking, along with an outdoor water park, explained Brittney Primeau with Crystal Mountain.

The other resorts that have partnered for America’s Summer Golf Capital include Boyne Mountain, Garland Lodge & Golf Resort, The Highlands at Harbor Springs, Bay Harbor Golf Club, Treetops Resort, and A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort.
