It’s a place where a Parisian-inspired décor, meets Motown and Motor City wall art, and is topped off with French fare.
Scott Sadoff, Executive VP of Food and Beverage for Method Co. describes it best. “Welcome to Le Suprême, Le Suprême is the heart and soul of the Book Tower, it’s an establishment we wanted to build with the intention of a space that felt that it was already 70 years old.” Although, Sadoff said the restaurant isn’t 70 years old, in fact, they just opened in August of 2023, but he’s right, when you walk in you feel as though you’ve walked into one of the historic buildings Detroit is known for, and that’s the point. Sadoff said everything from the floor and wall tiles, to the Motown, car racing, and antique wall art, is all intended to give the restaurant a historic feel, while still accomplishing an authentic Parisian theme. “We’re the Paris of the Midwest,” Sadoff said. That goes for the dishes they offer as well, everything from escargots, oysters, to soupe a l’oignon gratinee (French onion soup,) which takes three days to prepare, he said everything is traditional and made fresh daily.
