This dance company is ready to take the stage in Detroit

Parsons Dance will be performing at Music Hall

For years Parsons Dance group has wowed audiences with their stunning skills, and this weekend they will bring their dance moves to Detroit.

The dance company started back in 1985. “Variety and major physicality is why we have lasted this long,” explained founder Davis Parsons.

Parsons described the dance group’s show as having an international flair. The audience can expect dancers to perform to music from Miles Davis, Allen Toussaint, and Bill Withers.

Lighting is a big part of the show. Parsons explained that they use a strobe light technique to make it look like a dancer doesn’t touch the floor during part of the program called “Caught”.

Parsons Dance will be at Music Hall for the Performing Arts in Detroit on Sunday, April 28th at 3 p.m.
