With summer right around the corner, get ready to treat not just yourself, but also your furry friends. At this ice cream cart, these puppy approved sweet treats are made just for them. Marguita Richardson, owner and creative director of Sweet Paws, along with her dog Colby J, appeared on “Live in The D” to talk about the details.
Her inspiration comes from her dog, Colby, who she has been making treats for his entire life due to his sensitive stomach. She says the treats are, “Human tested, but Colby J approved.” You can expect three different flavors from positively banana, pawsicle sorbet, and pawberries and cream.
The treats are made from locally sourced, high quality ingredients from Michigan farmers. Richardson says, “I think if you’re going to make a business, and you’re going to be out, and expecting people to help you, you should help others.”
Their tag is to also make products good for dogs and the communities they bark in, including farmers.
You can catch the Sweet Paws ice cream cart for dogs on May 21st at the Dequindre Cut for Drinking with Dogs and in Frankenmuth at the Dog Bowl.
