The NFL draft is finally here and one of the musical performances of the draft includes the NFL Players Choir with the Detroit Youth Choir. Two-time super bowl champion Tully Banta-Cain, former New England Patriot, andCameron Newton, former Atlanta Falcon, Zoe Bolden, DYC Centerstage member, and Ryan Bowie, assistant vocal director of the DYC, appeared on “Live In The D” to talk about the concert.
For Banta-Cain, as a former NFL player, he says, “To be able to perform, and not be in terms of being drafted, it’s really a special moment.” But for Bolden she says, “Being able to say I performed at the NFL Draft at 11 years old is just going to be really cool.”
For the last 2-3 months, the DYC has dedicated their time rehearsing for this performance. “We’re looking forward to showcasing what we’ve done,” says Bowie.
During the event, you can also expect a total of 16 guys for the NFL Players Choir.
While both groups have performed on the “America’s Got Talent” stage, they will now get to share the stage in Detroit. “For us to get to share the stage for such a phenomenal group, and knowing that we were both apart of the AGT experience, it’s like a dream come true,” says Newton.
You can catch their performance on the NFL Draft stage tonight.
