With warmer weather here, and more on the horizon, a Detroit band is helping get us in a summertime mood. The group Leaving Lifted stopped by “Live in the D” for Music Monday and performed their brand new single. Band member
Martin Gonyeau said the song “Hold me Down” holds a special meaning. “It’s about experiencing grief from losing a loved one... and although they are not here, they are still with us,” he told host Tati Amare.
Gonyeau said their music is influenced by rock, dancehall and reggae.
If you’re looking for some summertime music to vibe out to, the group will perform live June 29, 2024, at 3 Blind Mice in Mt. Clemens.
