Ryan Gosling stars in a new movie called “The Fall Guy” where he plays a stuntman, but have you ever wondered what it takes to be a real-life stunt person?
Professional stuntman Jay R. Adams appeared on “Live In The D” to give the scoop on what it’s like to be a stuntman. Adams has worked on projects like “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”, “Outsiders”, “Ray Donovan”, and “Tulsa King”. He will also be appearing in “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F”.
Adams said he always dreamed of being in the movies, and even as a kid he wanted to be a stuntman. He ended up becoming a professional wrestler. However, Adams said he broke his back and decided it was time to get into something else. He ended up transitioning from wrestling into stunts.
As a stuntman, Adams specializes in fight scenes. That means he’s done a lot of fight training, along with learning how to fall properly so you don’t get injured. He said safety is number one when they’re on the set. However, Adams said it “absolutely does hurt”.
