Cinco De Mayo is just a few days away, and while it’s not widely celebrated in Mexico, it has turned into a day of celebration here in the states. If you’re looking to indulge in recipes with authentic Mexican flavors, Prince Valley Market in Southwest Detroit has you covered. From tamales, fajitas, enchiladas, and more, the market has freshly prepared meals, for customers to grab and go.
Spokesperson for the market Tim Castaneda brought a few dishes on “Live In The D”, and prepared a meal called Mojo de Ajo that he says is quick, simple and delicious. “Mojo is wet, ajo is garlic, it’s more so shrimp scampi,” Castaneda said.
He said the market has been in the city for nearly 50 years and serves as much more than a store. They have postal, cellular and other community services as well.
