A self-taught fashion designer is making a name for himself in Detroit. Harry Rich Clothier is a finalist in the Hatch Detroit competition where small businesses compete to earn a $100,000 prize to help them open a brick-and-mortar location in Detroit, Hamtramck or Highland Park.
Harry Rich is the man behind custom suits and gown designs that he makes under the business name of Harry Rich Clothier. Rich was inspired to start making his own designs when he wasn’t able to find what he was looking for in stores. He then took matters into his own hands.
Rich said he loves details, “bling”, and likes to add “something a little extra” to his designs.
Harry Rich Clothier is one of four finalists in the Hatch Detroit competition. Online voting runs until May 9th, which is when the winner will be revealed.
