A conversation with Grammy Award winning Country super star Reba McEntire

‘Live in the D’ catches up with the Country icon who talks about the ‘The Voice’ and the ACM awards

She’s an actress, and country music legend who has many accolades, and has won countless awards including, 12 American Music awards for Favorite Country Female Artist. Reba McEntire’s latest role is serving as a coach on NBC’s “The Voice.” She appeared on “Live in the D” to chat about her time on the show and what she enjoys about helping the performers.

“Their like children. They’re sponges. Anything you say, they lean forward and they’re listening,” McEntire told host Tati Amare. She said she tells the contestants if they are coachable, and teachable, they will do well.

McEntire also spoke about hosting the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards, which will be her 17th time doing so. “It’s like a family reunion getting to see all your friends. When we’re on tour that’s the only time you get to see a fellow entertainer, or at award shows,” McEntire said. The awards show airs May 16. The live performances on “The Voice” air tonight at 8 p.m. on NBC.
