He’s an Academy Award nominated actor who has taken on several roles in his career. Now, Colin Farrell is stepping into the shoes of a detective in the new Apple TV+ series “Sugar”. Farrell appeared on “Live in the D” with host Tati Amare to discuss his new role.
Farrell explained how his character Sugar is complex and has a keen interest in human behavior. The twists and turns the narrative took every episode was something Farrell could get behind. He also appreciated how the series paid homage to its genre’s predecessors.
“It was always kind of designed as an ode to the films of yesteryear... I loved that aspect of it. I love the history of film and cinema, and I find it intoxicatingly comforting,” said Farrell.
