Metro Detroit mom turns family dessert into blossoming business

These aren’t your average croissants

A Dearborn mom has taken a dessert she created for her kids and turned it into a new business that’s letting the community get a taste of sweet treats.

Nadia Bazzi is the mom behind Em Samra Croissants. Bazzi explained that she started out by making the creative croissants for her kids after dinner. Her decadent desserts all start with a croissant, but it’s the toppings and fillings that make Em Samra Croissants stand out. There are a variety of different croissants, which are made with ingredients like M&Ms, Nutella, Biscoff cookies, caramel drizzle, and other toppings. The most popular is the Ashta croissant, explained Bazzi’s daughter, Fatima Hachem.
