Contestants will once again compete for a $1,000,000 prize as the premiere of season 19 of “Americas Got Talent” (AGT) airs tonight. The host of AGT Terry Crews appeared on “Live in the D” to talk about the new season.
This new season of the worldwide popular show has a bit of a twist. Each judge will have two golden buzzers instead of one.
“Everybody getting one golden buzzer, it just wasn’t enough... There were too many good acts, too many absolutely fabulous people, and we just decided, wait a minute, let’s just up the ante,” said Crews.
Crews mentioned mind blowing acts featured in the new season such as the youngest mathematician ever. The live shows that feature these interesting acts are one of Crews’ favorite parts of the show. However, Crews said he’s blown away by the worldwide recognition AGT receives, and went so far as to compare the event’s hype to the Olympics.
The first episode of “America’s Got Talent” Season 19 will premiere at 8 p.m. on NBC.
