Local 4 Style Editor Jon Jordan shares where you can find automotive art

The Detroit Grand Prix is coming up this weekend which got Local 4 Style Editor Jon Jordan thinking about the combination of cars and art. Detroit, having the nickname the Motor City, means the city is a goldmine for automotive art. Jordan shared where you can find some art on “Live in the D”.

Jordan told us how lots of art nowadays is computer generated but automotive sketches can be found all over the Detroit area. You can find them in art galleries, yard sales, basements, or even your uncle’s closet.

If you can’t find any automotive art pieces and you want to create one, Jordan shared a way how you can create your own. The first step is to take a picture of your car or any vehicle of choice. Once that’s completed, isolate the car by erasing the background. Follow that up by importing the picture of the car into another background of choice. Aside from any potential edits you want to make, your art is complete. You can print your art onto shirts or even frame them.
