Meet the racer with an iconic name who says he loves racing in Detroit

Graham Rahal says he has had some of his biggest successes racing at the Detroit Grand Prix

He’s the only IndyCar driver to have ever won the duel event on Belle Isle getting the checkered flag on both Saturday and Sunday. Now, Graham Rahal is ready to win in Detroit again. He sat down with “Live In The D” host Tati Amare and guest-host Rob Stone, co-host of the “Rob + Holly Show” on 99.5 WYCD, to talk about his success in the city and how he’s preparing for this year’s race.

“It’s great to be back in the Motor City and be back racing,” said Rahal. “As the off season has gone on, towards the end of last season into this year, we’ve been much more competitive on street courses like this, and so I expect really great things this weekend.”

Rahal also spoke about what it takes to make changes to his car and be technically, mentally, and physically prepared for a race like the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear.

The IndyCar driver also took some time to play a game with Tati and Rob. He and Rob had to guess racing movies based on clues Tati gave them.
