If you’re looking for art, food and music head over to Michigan Glass Project which is a 3-day event at the Russell Industrial Center. Drew Kups, Co-founder of Michigan Glass Project, and Carol Hofgartner with Art Road Nonprofit stopped by “Live in the D” to talk about the upcoming event.
You’ll see plenty of art made in front of your eyes at the Michigan Glass Project. The event will host 100 glass artists, 60 painters, 60 DJs, 15 live bands, yoga, food trucks, and more. At the end of the event there will be an auction where all the proceeds will go towards Art Road Nonprofit.
Art Road Nonprofit is all about brining and sustaining arts in Detroit by employing artists to teach art in schools. Hofgartner says art is so important to children as it develops all sorts of thinking skills.
