DETROIT – Cowboy boots filled Ford Field when superstar Zach Bryan took the stage to perform in Detroit.
As a big fan, I counted down to the concert for months, and when “The Quittin’ Time Tour” finally came to town on June 20, it far exceeded my expectations.

Bryan played songs like “Overtime,” “Godspeed,” “Hey Driver,” and “East Side of Sorrow.” He also sang his newest hit, “Pink Skies.”
The 28-year-old from Oklahoma brought gracious energy and Southern charm to the Motor City during his electrifying concert.
While performing, the alt-country singer-songwriter changed the lyrics to some of his songs to incorporate Detroit. He thanked the crowd multiple times throughout the night and even referenced a previous concert he performed at The Fillmore in Detroit.
The encore was the moment that really got me. Bryan and his band left the main stage and walked to the back of the crowd to perform the song “Revival” on a small stage.
Bryan walked to each corner of the stage to sing to fans at every side.
The crowd responded by going wild and shouting the lyrics from the song “We’re having an all-night revival.” Fireworks capped off the night.
Even though the Detroit stop of “The Quittin’ Time Tour is over, fans still have something to anticipate.
Bryan shared on social media Thursday that he plans to release his new album, The Great American Bar Scene, on the 4th of July.
The singer said he’s picked 23 bars across the country that “embody the spirit of American culture.” Starting June 24, those bars will play select cuts from the new album. Bryan also mentioned that he would visit some of the bars to drink with fans.
Unfortunately, Bryan doesn’t have any Michigan bars on his list, so it looks like I’ll have to wait a while for another “All-night revival.”
