This Detroit group blends vintage blues with indie-rock

‘Ursa Day’ performs live for ‘Music Monday’

The Detroit rock quarte “Ursa Day,” describes their sound as eclectic with vintage blues and modern indie rock influences. The group stopped by “Live in the D” for Music Monday to discuss their EP and how their unique sound came to be.

“I’m a really big blues and classic rock fan, and they keep me well grounded with what people are listening to today,” said group member Ryan Haley.

He said their influences are pretty wide throughout the band. Earlier this year the group released their EP Hyperphagia and they performed their latest single “Shout it Aloud” live on the show.
