Help to get your pets through the 4th of July season

Tips to keep your furry friends stress free

Summer means fireworks season. With every blast comes a loud noise that your furry friends may not be too fond of. Gillian Hanton of Michigan Humane stopped by the studio with pet of the week, Bossy, to give some advice on keeping your pets as stress free as possible

Hanton shared this advice for your pet:

  • You should ask your veterinarian for additional medication
  • Be sure to have the pets’ medical records when traveling
  • Update Micro Chip information
  • Keep doors and windows closed
  • Find a quiet space for your furry loved one

Bossy is an 8-month-old Pit Bull terrier mix and needs a loving home, preferably with older children or adults. She’s a little shy but warms up quickly. If you’d like to adopt Bossy she’s available at the Mackey Center for Animal Care in Detroit.

The Mike Morse Law Firm will pay the standard adoption fee for this week’s pet of the week.
