Music, fireworks, and a tea party, all happening in Metro Detroit this weekend

Lots to do for all ages in and around Detroit

The weekend is just a day away, and if you’re looking to get out and enjoy you time there are plenty options to choose from. The weekend fun kicks off today with the continuation of the Village of Rochester Hills outdoor concert series. The event features live performances from “The Sounds of Zen Again Acoustics,” 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at festival park, and Sam Wagoner 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mitchells Fish Market.

The fun continues in Trenton where there’s a big festival this weekend. The annual family friendly event features food, live performances, vendors, a kids corner and more. The fest is happening Friday through Sunday, with fireworks on Saturday in Downtown Trenton.

Next, pack up the car and head to the M1 Concourse for the 7th annual “Cars Under the Stars” fireworks spectacular. You can watch the show right from the comfort of your front seats. The event also includes live entertainment, food trucks, and craft beer stands. It’s all happening at 5 p.m., Sunday in Pontiac.

If you’re a fan of the hit Netflix show Bridgerton, here’s an event for you. A Bridgerton themed garden tea party is happening this Sunday at the Taylor Conservatory and Botanical Garden. Enjoy brunch, tea, flower crown making, and live entertainment. The event happens from 1 p.m. to 5pm..

Lastly, an event for the grown-ups. It’s the “Packards and Pints” party happening at the Historic Packard Proving Grounds. Drinks will be flowing as guests explore the original building where luxurious cars were once tested before they were sold. Several classics are still on display. The party is happening Saturday at 7 p.m. in Shelby Township.
