Disney World opens Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Discover the experience 10 years in the making

A new ride has taken over where Splash Mountain once was.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, based off the 2009 animated film, The Princess and the Frog is officially open to the public. The adventure, located inside Magic Kingdom Park, kicks off about a year after the movie ends. Travel expert Genevieve Shaw Brown tells Live in the D, visitors will meet Tiana, Louis and so many beloved characters from the film as they journey through the bayou. She also says the music and animatronics create the full story. This family friendly attraction does have some thrill, a 50-foot plunge! So, if you’re wondering, yes, you might get wet.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure isn’t the only attraction to explore this summer. In Disney Springs, there’s a drone show, “Disney Dreams that soar” featuring 800 drones lighting up the night sky. The EPCOT center transformation is complete, with Remy’s Ratatouille adventure, guardians of the galaxy Cosmic rewind and Luminous, the symphony of us, a night show that includes fireworks.

There are specially priced tickets for the summer and at select hotels, families can save up to 30 percent, learn more by clicking here
