Today is July 1st, which means we’re officially halfway through the year. Author and motivational speaker Mimi Brown and Blaine Fowler from “Blaine and Lauren” on 96.3 WDVD appeared on “Live in the D” for What’s The Buzz to talk about whether they view this point of the year with a ‘glass half full’ lens or a ‘glass half empty’.
At this time of the year, Fowler and Brown make it a priority to enjoy themselves. When it comes to New Year’s resolutions Fowler doesn’t touch them. Instead, he looks at everyday as a new opportunity.
“We always have these opportunities. They’re opportunities not challenges, to improve upon what we did yesterday,” said Fowler.
Brown also doesn’t partake in New Year’s resolutions. Rather than committing to a goal annually, she focuses on daily intentionality. Her aim is to improve by 1% each day and to make the most out of each day.
They shift their focus from summer’s almost over to staying present in the moment. They both reiterated that being in the midst of summer means staying positive.
