Two-time Grammy Award-winner Peabo Bryson loves Detroit

The artist with two Oscar winning songs performs at the Aretha Franklin Ampitheatre tomorrow night

A two-time Grammy Award-winner with two Oscar winning songs is performing at the Aretha Franklin Ampitheatre tomorrow night. However, before the performance, Peabo Bryson appeared on “Live In The D” to talk about what Detroit means to him.

Bryson explained that tomorrow’s show is a broad program at a great venue. The people are sure to get a little bit of everything and his goal as a performer is to entertain the tough Detroit crowd.

“When you come to Detroit, you have to bring your A-game,” said Bryson.

Bryson’s music history started in Detroit, and he always appreciates performing in the city. In his opinion Detroit’s music is part of the fabric of America.

“I got my start right there, it was Detroit that decided that my music was important,” said Bryson.
