This week on “Live In The D” host Tati Amare has been joined by Christophe Zajac-Denek who has been the guest host. He has shared many things about his life from being an actor to surfing to being an advocate for people with dwarfism. Today, Zajac-Denek shared his passion for playing the drums and he performed with friend Chad Thompson.
“I was a teenager, and I loved punk rock music, and I wanted to make music and play music,” said Zajac-Denek. “And the drums were the easiest thing I could get at.”
He says he and Thompson met at Michigan State University where Thompson was a drummer in the MSU band. They’ve been friends ever since and have continued to play music on-and-off together.
When describing the performance (band), Thompson said, “I would say it’s modular. So people can come in and come out. They can perform with me. The can not perform with me. I can do it myself. I can do it with 17 people. That’s the goal of the whole thing to have it continue to evolve.”
The performance style is unique, and shows that while they are serious about music, they don’t take themselves to seriously.
