The sequel to the film “Twister” that was released back in the 90s hits theatres tomorrow. The sequel film “Twisters” stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell, who were interviewed by movie reviewer Greg Russell ahead of the movie’s release. Russell also shared his insights on the new documentary “Simone Biles Rising” during “Reel Talk” on “Live in the D.”
Russell enjoyed the sequel, as he described it as a fun movie. “Twisters” is about two people who storm chase after tornadoes. One of the tornado hunters is a woman who had been in the field for some time, until she left only to be drawn back into it. The other character is a guy who’s been storm chasing as well but just shooting it on social media.
“This movie means so much to so many people... as humans feeling almost powerless in the face of big weather it’s something that everybody on every corner of the planet can identify with,” said Powell.
“Simone Biles Rising” is getting people excited for the upcoming Summer Olympics. This documentary is about people bringing her down in her career and her fighting back to gain her own identity. Russell has thoroughly enjoyed the first two episodes that are currently on Netflix in the four-episode series.
Russel also showed how you can earn a chance to win a $15 gift card to MJR in Waterford’s Screen X auditorium by heading over to Movie Show Plus’ Facebook page.
