Over 50 years of the Arab & Chaldean Festival

Hart Plaza will host the celebration

For more than 50 years, the Arab & Chaldean Festival has been bringing all types of culture, fun and food to Detroit. The festival hits Hart Plaza July 27 through 28, bringing a lot of activities with it. Dr. Jacoub Mansour, President of the Arab & Chaldean Festival, along with Samantha Dickow of Gold’N Oven in Sterling Heights appeared on “Live in the D” to talk about the upcoming festival.

This year’s festival will feature a fashion show, singers, dancers, all sorts of live entertainment, and most importantly a large array of food. Gold’N Oven will be one of the restaurants who will appear at the festival. Dickow brought a huge spread on the show to show off some of the items featured at the festival.

Dr. Mansour explained how this event is a joy to put on for the community as food has a way of bringing people together.
