The curtain will rise on a production of the musical “Pippin” this weekend in Pontiac.
The musical follows the story of the character Pippin, who is desperate to find what makes him special or his purpose in life, explained director Em Rose Miller of Rose Above Theatre Company.
“The beautiful thing about ‘Pippin’ is that there’s so many different ways to interpret the story,” said stage manager Julia Morgan. You can interpret it on a psychological level that the characters are part of your mind or you can take it literally, she said.
“Pippin” will be performed at the Flagstar Strand Theatre in Pontiac on July 26, 27 and 28, along with Aug. 2, 3, and 4.
