Large crowds will be at movie theatres this weekend as Marvel is back with “Deadpool & Wolverine.” People will also be at theatres to see the new movie “The Fabulous Four.” Movie Reviewer Greg Russell appeared on “Live in the D” to show us his interview with Sheryl Lee Ralph of “The Fabulous Four” and to give us his ratings for the two films on this week’s Reel Talk.
Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine star in the new Marvel movie and Russell is all for it.
“They should do movies together more often,” said Russell.
In this movie the two characters are sort of retired but when a common enemy shows up, they suit up and go after the enemy together.
This movie has plenty of comedy, cameos and a lot of built-up hype. One more thing that makes the film better to Russell is that it’s not too long as it’s just over two hours. Russell gave the film a solid four out of five reels.
“The Fabulous Four” has a star-studded cast of Susan Sarandon, Bette Midler, Megan Mullally, and Ralph. The movie is about some friends that have been friends for 50 years. One of the friends is getting married in Florida which means everyone is heading down there for the wedding. So, the remaining question is: what could possibly go wrong?
“Everything,” said Ralph.
Movies about ladies behaving a little wild are a lot of fun. Russell says this movie in particular will be thoroughly enjoyed by the generation of baby boomers. Russell gave this movie another four out of five reels.
