Are you keeping up with the latest trends?

Friends of ‘Live In The D’ talk about the fads they follow

From fashion, to food, music, and more, there are trends for just about everything. So, are you keeping up and being trendy?

Friends of “Live In The D” appeared on the show to talk trends with host Tati Amare and guest host magician and comedian Jasen Magic. The conversation also included comedian and actor J. Will, April “AP” Lockett who is the host of “The AP Show”, and Lauren Crocker from “Blaine & Lauren” on 96.3 WDVD.

The conversation started with the group talking about how important it is to them is to be “trendy” or keep up with the latest trends. J. Will said he roasts a lot of people in his comedy shows, so he said he has to be somewhat trendy so he doesn’t give people an easy target to get back at him. J. Will also said he has to keep up with the trends because he has a 13-year-old son. Meanwhile, Lauren joked that her 3-year-old is already ahead of her when it comes to trends. Lauren explained that she likes to know about trends, even if they aren’t for her. AP stays up-to-date on the trends thanks to her family. “I have teenage nieces and nephews. They’re not going to let me miss anything,” she said. “If I don’t know something, I’m calling them up and like ‘what is this? What’s this dance? What’s the song?’ They keep me in the loop with everything too,” AP added.

Next, the group talked about the specific trends that they follow. In J. Will’s opinion, the trend you have to follow is having an iPhone. Lauren said she follows music trends and new artists. She also keeps an eye on fashion trends. AP also said she follows music trends. When it comes to trends that are disliked, Lauren said she doesn’t like the trend of wearing bows.

Finally, the conversation moved to what people wish would become trendy. AP’s response was that she wants people do what they want and follow their own minds and be themselves. She said that everyone is looking at what everyone else is doing. Instead she wants people to “come as you are.”
