Every Monday, “Live in the D” welcomes a musical act for the Music Monday. Today, it was Larry Lee and The Bank in the Day Band who appeared in the studio with their old school sound. The band has joined host Tati Amare in studio before and she said they are a favorite because and they always bring the house down.
The 10 piece band will perform live this Wednesday at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheater in downtown Detroit. Band leader Larry Lee chatted about the upcoming performance.
“Shelia E. and Larry Lee, ooh wee,” Lee said. He added that the crowd is in for a treat.
The band has been performing old school hits for more than two decades and have opened for several national acts when they come to town.
