The Marshall Tucker Band will be performing Friday night

They’re known for songs like “Can’t You See,” “Heard It In a Love Song,” and “Take the Highway,” and now The Marshall Tucker Band is getting ready to take the stage in Detroit this weekend.

The Marshall Tucker Band started back in 1972 and is credited with helping to bring popularity to the Southern rock genre. Their decades’ worth of music includes more than 20 albums.

The band has performed at a variety of different venues in Michigan over the years, and they will add to their list of performances Friday night when they play a concert at Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts. The show, which is presented by Hollywood Casino at Greektown, starts at 8 p.m.

Ahead of their performance, lead singer and original band member Doug Gray talked with “Live In The D” host Tati Amare. Watch the video above to see the interview.
