Movie reviewer Greg Russell joined Live in the D to break down a few films to watch for this weekend.
First up is “Alien: Romulus.” This new installment of the Alien franchise centers on a group of young space colonists who, while scavenging a derelict space station, come face to face with a xenomorph.
Next, “The Union,” starring Halle Berry, Mark Wahlberg, and Michigan’s own JK Simmons. It’s about a down-to-earth construction worker from Jersey who is quickly thrust into the world of super spies and secret agents when his high school ex-girlfriend recruits him on a high-stakes US intelligence mission. Russell gives this film, streaming on Netflix, four out of five reels.
Finally, “The Instigators,” starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck, is about a desperate father and an ex-con who are thrown together for a heist that goes awry. Russell gives this four out of five reels.
