As back to school season approaches, the high price of all the right gear, especially sneakers, can strain budgets, making it essential to extend their lifespans as long as possible.
A shoe business located inside Oakland Mall in Troy, said they can take the scuffs, starches, dirt, and wear and tear out of your shoes, and make them look brand new. Live in the D Host Tati Amare, caught up with the owners, who gave her a sneak peek of the magic they create.
“We found out people are like us, people don’t like dirty sneakers,” Co- Owner of “Clean Sneaker Care,” Darryl Blanding said.
So they started this business. Using different tools and solutions, the dirt seems to just disappear from the shoes as they clean them, the goal is to bring them back to their glory. Blanding said the overall feeling of saving something is what he has always enjoyed. They also refurbish boots, hats, and purses.
