As many of us know, taking selfies is a pretty popular thing, especially with the right backdrop. One Royal Oak business is merging selfies with another fun activity and it’s gaining popularity.
Owners of Icon Pix Studios offer Karaoke lounges with cool back drops for the perfect selfie and for those not comfortable singing in front of strangers, they have the solution. “You’re in a private, your own room, a lot of people don’t like public settings, so when they can just bring their own family and friends together, that just works out very well for them,” Co-Owner Kayla White said.
She said there are 3 different karaoke lounges to choose from and each one has a cool, unique theme. “We hold small to large groups. Our small room accommodates up to 8 guests, our medium room accommodates up to 15 guests, and then our largest room accommodates up to 20 guests,” White said.
They also plan to open an additional space next door that will also serve as a karaoke and entertainment lounge. The Icon Luxe Lounge is set to open October 1, and both spaces are currently taking reservations.
