Looking for the perfect blend of coffee, snacks, and furry companionship? Avocato, a newly opened cat café in Farmington Hills, offers just that. Guests can reserve a time to visit online and, once they arrive, they can enjoy coffee or a treat before heading into one of the four cozy cat rooms. Each room offers plenty of space to interact and play with the cats, all of which are available for adoption through the Pet Adoption Alternative of Warren.
The café‘s décor mimics the comfort of an actual living room which is a deliberate choice according to operations manager Judith Lolas. “When people come in to see the cats, their first question is often, ‘How are they in a home setting?’” Lolas said.
The setup provides potential adopters with a real-world look at how the cats might behave in a home environment.
In addition to the company of adoptable cats, Avocato also hosts a variety of events tailored for cat lovers. From painting rocks with a feline model to celebrating birthdays surrounded by cuddly companions, there’s something for everyone.
