Meet the executive producer of a reality TV series in the D

Carlos King is the creator of “Love & Marriage: Detroit”

He’s a Detroit native and an Emmy-nominated producer, podcaster, and on-camera personality, and now Carlos King is getting ready to premiere the second season of his reality TV show set in Detroit.

King is the creator and executive producer of “Love and Marriage: Detroit,” which returns to the Oprah Winfrey Network on Sept. The show shares the stories of couples in Detroit.

“Season two is explosive,” King said.

The “Love & Marriage” franchise started in Huntsville, but has since launched in Detroit and Washington, D.C. King explained that he wanted to do a show that highlighted Black couples who are going through excellence in the community, but also showcasing the emotional bandwidth of their marriages.

“Love & Marriage: Detroit” is just one chapter of King’s story in the world of entertainment. He has crossed over from behind-the-scenes to in front of the camera for some projects. King also created his own production company called Kingdom Reign Entertainment.
