It’s been 36 years since Beetlejuice came to life onscreen, and now he is back in action in a sequel to the cult classic.
Michael Keaton reprises his role as the “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”. Catherine O’Hara and Winona Ryder are also back to play mother-daughter roles. This time around, Ryder’s character, Lydia Deetz, also has a daughter who is played by Jenna Ortega.
The plot of the sequel is set decades after the original movie, and the Deetz family has to return to town after a family tragedy.
“Next thing you know, a problem arises where they know they need the help of Beetlejuice, whether they want it or not,” explained movie Reviewer Greg Russell.
The movie has a lot of different twists and turns, along with a lot of seriousness, Greg said. He gave “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” 3.5 reels out of a possible 5. “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is rated PG-13.
If you’re looking for a different kind of fright, the rated-R horror movie “The Deliverance” might be for you.
“It’s based off of a supposed real story about this house in Indiana that is haunted, and the spirit takes over the bodies of the children,” Greg said.
“The Deliverance” has an ensemble cast including stars like Andra Day, Glenn Close, Omar Epps, and others.
Greg got the chance to talk with one of the actors whose character gets possessed in “The Deliverance”. Watch the video above to see the interview.
