If you’ve been looking to add a new pet to your home, there’s a perfect opportunity this weekend to find your new furry family member. Michigan Humane is hosting its Meet Your Best Friend at the Shelter event in conjunction with The Mike Morse Law Firm this weekend. The CEO of Michigan Humane, Matt Pepper, sat down with “Live In The D” host Tati Amare and guest-host Lauren Crocker, from “Blaine & Lauren” on 96.3WDVD, to talk about the event.
“Since we’ve started this event we’ve adopted almost 750 pets into new homes,” said Pepper.
The event happens on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Berman Center for Animal Care in Westland. “We’ve got four other partners coming with us and we’ll have more than 150 pets up for adoption,” said Pepper.
He also brought in a cat that is up for adoption right now named Irish. Irish is a 3-year-old short hair grey cat that has a calm personality and will fit into any home.
