What to consider when getting a new roof

Company presentations, estimates, and prices are key

With the summer heat fading away, winter isn’t all that far off in the distance. Now could be the perfect time to address home projects, such as getting a new roof.

There are many factors that go into purchasing a new roof for your home. Founder and CEO of The Roof Resource, Mike Harvey, appeared on “Live In The D” to talk about some of the aspects that people consider when it comes to roofing.

First, Harvey talked about the presentations that homeowners often sit through with traditional roofing companies. He said this process can take hours. However, Harvey highlighted that The Roof Resource does a 20-minute Zoom call with customers instead.

Estimates are another important part of shopping for a new roof. Harvey said that his company does this in one call.

When it comes to pricing, Harvey stressed that traditional roofing companies will have different prices based on materials and the idea of good/better/best materials. However, he said The Roof Resource offers one flat fee, which is 50 percent less than retail and you get to choice from any top of line manufacturers.

Roofs from The Roof Resource are installed within 7 to 10 days, Harvey said.
