The summer festival season is slowly coming to an end, but with the weather we’re having, there’s a great way you can be outdoors and soak it all in. The DIY Street Fair happens this weekend in Ferndale. The Artistic Director of the Fair, Krista Johnston, stopped by “Live in the D” to give a preview of what guests can expect.
“As opposed to shopping at the big box stores, you have these memories of interacting with these local businesses,” Johnston said. She said there will be more than 150 artists displaying their one-of-a-kind, unique pieces. The fair she said celebrates those independent artisans with a “do it your self” spirit.
The event will also feature live entertainment, food trucks and more, and admission is free. The fair takes place Friday-Sunday in downtown Ferndale.
