A new medical drama called “Brilliant Minds” is getting ready to make its debut on NBC prime-time.
The series is about a neurologist named Dr. Oliver Wolf who uses an unconventional approach. The role of Dr. Wolf is played by actor Zachary Quinto.
“Dr. Oliver Wolf is actually based on real-life person, Dr. Oliver Sacks who lived and worked in the mid to late 20th century and was a renowned neurologist and also a very prolific author,” Quinto said. “He wrote a lot about his patients. So, many aspects of the character I play, as well as the cases we explore on the show, are drawn from his real-life experiences, even though the show is a modern day fictional retelling of those stories.”
