September is Design Core’s Detroit Month of Design, featuring more than 90 immersive experiences like exhibitions, installations, studio visits, product launches, artist talks, tours, workshops, and parties. A highlight of the month is the Eastern Market After Dark event, where artists and makers will come together under Shed 2 to showcase their creativity.
Ahead of the event, “Live In The D’s” April Morton interviewed Joe Reilly, owner of All Motion Studio, which specializes in creative production services such as 3D printing, screen printing, and fabrication. Reilly discussed his mission to promote industry and innovation through design. He also showcased some of his work, including screen-printed posters, and demonstrated the 3D printing of a coaster inspired by the Detroit River’s flowing currents. Those coasters will be on display at Eastern Market After Dark which takes place Thursday, September 19th at 6 p.m.
