Detroit singer shines light on organization helping children

Upcoming performance will benefit ‘Lost Voices’

During a visit to “Live in the D,” Award-winning Detroit singer and songwriter Jill Jack told host Tati Amare, she was put on this planet to do more than sing. What she means by that is that she enjoys using her musical gift to help others, and that’s exactly what she does for the organization called Lost Voices.

“It’s a group of songwriters that go in and work with children who have dealt with trauma,” Jack said.

She said she and other artists go in and work with the children for a week, allowing them to work their feelings out through song. The kids then perform their music.

“The music that comes out of them is stunning,” Jack said.

She has an upcoming performance happening at the Park Theater in Plymouth, and gave a sneak peek live on the show.
