This local chef stars in a new Food Network show

Will she be the last one standing in this unique spin on cooking competitions?

Chef Gabriella Baldwin is the co-owner of Testa Barra restaurant in Macomb but she’s about to begin a different kind of culinary journey. She’s checking in to the “Last Bite Hotel.” The new show on the Food Network is hosted by Tituss Burgess who invites eight chefs to cook for VIP guests at the mysterious and isolated “Last Bite Hotel”. With a trunk of only thirteen ingredients to use for their entire stay, the winner checks out $25,000 richer.

Baldwin stopped by “Live in the D” ahead of the season premiere to talk about the show and to make an easy, delicious fall dish.

When asked about “Last Bite Hotel”, Baldwin said she’s done seven competition shows but this was the first time she couldn’t predict what was going to happen, “It kept us on edge both figuratively and literally”.

Chef Baldwin made a crunch salad live in-studio and demonstrated her maple vinaigrette dressing.

Ingredients:

  • Whole grain mustard
  • maple syrup
  • apple cider vinegar
  • sage
  • shallot
